Since we reap what we sow we can sow thoughts of abundance to reap abundance. What is true wealth? Some people have millions of dollars but don’t have much happiness. If we want more good things like peaceful, loving relationships, health, wealth, success in career and parenting, we can reap good thoughts.
Have you ever sat under a shade tree on a day in late summer when the leaves are still on the trees, the breeze is cool, the cicadas are chirping and you look out over the grass and trees and feel very content? Just relax and soak in the goodness of being alive. Think about the abundance of good things that you enjoy, that you already have and more will come to you. I love to sit outdoors with a cup of strong tea on Saturday morning and enjoy the invigorating feeling it gives me. Then I love to count my blessings and feel good about each one. This is wealth. These feelings can fill you to overflowing with gladness and peace.
Gratitude is a powerful thing. Many people say that it attracts good things into your life. I know that when I am grateful I tend to be more abundant in my relationships. Would you rather spend time with a person who was grateful for all the little things you do for them or a complainer who is never satisfied and always wants more?
If you were a boss at work and you had several people working for you would you promote the grateful one who was energetic and enthusiastic, always ready to help and take on another task, or would you promote the complainer, the one who is always trying to avoid work?
Gratitude brings good things into your life. Joy brings abundance. It really is true, you reap what you sow. Sow victorious and grateful thoughts and attitudes and you will bring good things into your life.
