Half a head (a little humor)

English: Romaine lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. ...

A lady asked the grocery store worker if she could buy half a head of lettuce. The man said that she could not. But she really didnโ€™t want to buy the whole head for just herself because she knew she wouldnโ€™t eat it all and it would be wasted.

โ€œPlease ask your boss if I can buy half a head of lettuceโ€ she asked. So he went into the back room where his boss was working, not realizing that she was following him. He said โ€œHey boss, some moron wants to know if she can buy half a head of lettuce.โ€

The bossโ€™s eyebrows raised in surprise so much that the worker knew something was wrong. He turned slowly to see the customer behind him. There was an awkward silence for a few seconds and then he said โ€œand this wonderful lady wants to buy the other half.โ€

  2. Hi Brad. Thanks for the ‘Like’ on my post. This is a real neat joke. I had read a slightly different and longer version of the same, somewhere on the web.
So essentially its the same till the lady leaves.
Then the impressed manager tells the boy “You have saved your position by being clever enough at the right time. Where do you come from?”
To this, the boy says, “I come from Brazil, the place of prostitutes and football players!”
The manager replies coldly, “my wife is also from Brazil”
To this, the boy asks excitedly, “oh yeah! Which team does she play for?”
