A man heard God say that he would get anything he wanted through prayer within reason. He thought long and hard about what he wanted most.
Finally he said to God “I have always wanted to go to Hawaii, but I’m afraid to fly. Would you build a bridge from Los Angeles to Honolulu?” God said “Son can you imagine the amount of cement and steel that would be needed for such a bridge? Think of something more reasonable.”
The man thought for awhile and said “My wife left me, I just can’t understand what she wanted. Please give me the ability to understand women and know how they think.”
God was quiet for awhile then said “About that bridge, did you want two lanes or four?”
